Welcome to our cosy cottage on the banks of the Loire! Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions:
📍 Where is the cottage located?
The cottage is located on the banks of the Loire, in a peaceful and natural setting, ideal for lovers of nature and the Loire Valley heritage.
Address: 46 levée Jeanne de Laval, Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire, 49250 LOIRE-AUTHION (France).
Important: The commune of Loire-Authion comprises several villages, and two houses have the same address. Our cottage is located in the commune of Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire (49250). Do not confuse it with La Bohalle, the neighbouring village. Make sure you select Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire in your GPS to avoid any mistakes!
🕓 What time can we arrive and depart?
- Arrival: from 4pm
- Departure: before 10am
- Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any special requests.
🛏 How many people can the cottage accommodate?
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people, with:
- 1 bedroom with a 140 cm double bed
- 1 bedroom with two single bunk beds
- A travel cot for babies (<3 years old) can also be provided on request.
🐾 Are pets allowed?
The cottage is not equipped to accommodate pets, either inside or outside. However, if you have no other option, we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis (type of animal, size, number). A supplement may apply.

🚗 Is there parking?
Yes, free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the cottage.
📶 Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, the cottage has free high-speed Wi-Fi, with a speed tested at 362 Mb/s (test carried out by us).
The connection allows for 4K streaming, video calls and the use of multiple devices simultaneously without any problems.
Internet use is governed by our terms of use, available here. By accessing the Wi-Fi, you automatically accept these terms and conditions.
🏊♀️ Is there access to a swimming pool?
Yes, during the month of August only (from 2 to 30 August 2025), guests have access to the owner's shared swimming pool, located in the immediate vicinity of the cottage.
Conditions and rules of access:
- Opening hours: every day from 10:00 to 18:00
- Secure access: via a locked gate (key provided on arrival)
- Type of pool: saltwater pool, no irritating chlorine – for optimal swimming comfort
- Outdoor shower mandatory before each swim
- Access reserved for registered guests only
- Children must be under the sole responsibility of an accompanying adult
- Swimming is unsupervised: caution is required
- Please respect the peace and quiet, keep the pool clean and follow the safety rules
🍽 Does the cottage have a fully equipped kitchen?
Yes, you will find:
- A mini oven with microwave
- A fridge-freezer
- A hob
- A coffee maker, kettle and toaster
- Crockery and utensils
- A dishwasher
🛒 Are there any shops nearby?
Yes, a 5-minute walk away in the village centre, you will find:
- A bakery
- A mini-market
- A local market (Tuesday mornings)
- A butcher/delicatessen
- Restaurants and cafés
- An ATM (bank)
- The post office
- Hairdressers
- Flea market

Absolutely! The region offers:
- Cycling along the Loire à Vélo
- Hiking
- Visits to Loire Valley châteaux
- Wine tastings at nearby wineries

📆 What is the minimum stay?
Outside of peak season, the minimum stay is 1 night. During peak season (August), a longer stay of 7 nights is required.
❌ What are the cancellation conditions?
- Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival
- No refund in case of no-show
📋 What rules must be followed during the stay?
- The cottage is a non-smoking establishment. However, smoking is permitted in outdoor areas.
- Parties and events are not permitted.
- Please respect the peace and quiet of the area: avoid making noise between 11pm and 8am.
